Facebook has added a new application for sharing videos with your friends. Personally I think this new video sharing app is top notch. You can tag your friends in a video just like you do with pictures. The video player itself is very elegant, much more than say YouTube. Its very simple to use, though it does lack a volume control. Now just like any other video site people want to download these videos. That’s were I came in. Rather than create a whole Firefox extension, I decided to write a simple Greasemonkey Userscript. My Userscript creates two links below “Report Video”. One lets you download FLV file and the other lets you convert the video to a format of your choice online with Vixy.net before downloading. I hope my hardwork is put to good use.
